Beneficial Ownership Information is identifying information about the individuals who directly or indirectly own or control a company. Beginning January 1, 2024, every company is required to file their Beneficial Ownership Information with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. For companies created before 01/01/2024, you have until 01/01/2025 to complete this form.

The form asks for a FinCEN Id – What is that?
Unless you have ever had to report a foreign owned bank account before, you will just leave this blank. After completing the form, this ID will be assigned by FinCEN and mailed to you. Be sure to save a copy of the ID for your records.
Do I need to file BOI every year?
